Health Research Board – National Disability Database Report Launch

Wednesday 21 June 2017 Minister of State for Disability Issues Finian McGrath TD visited St Michael's House on Wednesday 21 June 2017 for the launch of the National Disability Database Report. Speaking at the launch, the Minister said "This is an important piece of research for future planning, particularly for residential, respite and day care services" Minister McGrath met two disabled artists John Murphy & Olga Forde, whose work was featured on the report cover. Minister McGrath officially opens new Dialysis Therapies Centre at Beaumont Hospital

  This morning (Thurs 1st June) the Minister of State with responsibility for Disability, Finian McGrath, T.D., officially opened the new Dialysis Therapies Centre in Beaumont Hospital - the new home for our outpatient Haemodialysis and Home Therapies services Since opening in February, the new Centre has increased capacity in the outpatient haemodialysis unit from 20 to 34 stations. This has allowed Beaumont to eliminate early morning and late night dialysis sessions, ensuring that patients are now dialysed during more social hours - between 7am to 11pm- improving their and their family’s quality of life and wellbeing.
