McGrath gets green light for new €40 million accident and emergency department at Beaumont Hospital

MCGRATH GETS GREEN LIGHT FOR NEW €40 MILLION ACCIDENT AND EMERGENCY DEPARTMENT AT BEAUMONT HOSPITAL

 

Minister Finian McGrath has confirmed that he has got the green light for the construction of a new €40 million Accident and Emergency Department at Beaumont Hospital. Finian has been in detailed discussions with the Department of Health, HSE and Beaumont Hospital for the last few weeks.

“This new Department is great news for patients, the staff and for the Northside of Dublin” said McGrath. “It’s also a fantastic project for the future of our Health Service “ said the Northside Minister. He also confirmed that the budget of €100,000 will be made available in 2018 to fund design team fees.

Minister McGrath confirmed that he has been campaigning for this for many years and now it is being delivered. It is included in the Programme for Government. He also thanked the Hospital Management Team, the HSE, the Department of Health and the Independent Alliance for their great support.
