RELEASE OF RECORDS PURSUANT T0 FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACTS 1997 AND 2003 Request N0. FOI 449 for release lst October 2010
Dear Deputy McGrath,
We have received a request from Conor Hunt of RTÉ under the Freedom of Information Acts 1997 and 2003, seeking access to the following records:
- Clocking-in/attendance records for TDs and Senators for the months of June and July 2010.
Please attached your record in relation to the period which has been requested. The requestor will be made aware of the fact that records of individual Members can be reconciled up to 31st December 2010. The record attached is the record of attendances from the System for Recording Attendance (SRA) verified to date. The record may not give an accurate account of your true attendance during this period. You may as yet need to reconcile your record due to one of the legitimate reasons for absence under the terms of the Statutory Instrument, for example Foreign Travel.
The report records an "in" where you electronically fob, signed in on the day or are absent due to a medically certiñed absence. The report shows “attendance reconciliation” where a Member has undertaken foreign or domestic travel or presented evidence of attendance such as a voting or speaking records. In the event that you identify days where your attendance is not registered and you can verify your attendance through one of the approved means for attendance. You can contact the following people below:
- Official Foreign or Domestic Travel - Clerk to the Committee or Interparliamentary Official
- Official Foreign Travel (not funded by Commission) - Party Whip
- Reconciliation of attendance with voting, speaking or approved evidence of attendance - One Stop Shop.
Should you need clarification in relation to the records attached or copies of appropriate forms for reconciliation, please contact the staff of the One Stop Shop at your earliest convenience.
Yours sincerely, Orla Scott ____________________
