Following your election to the 31st Dáil, please find below details of the allowances which you are in receipt of; details of the Oireachtas schemes you have subscribed to; and your attendance registered up to and including 22nd August 2011.
Travel and Accommodation Allowance (TAA)
This allowance is based on distance from your normal place of resident to Leinster House and covers the costs of travel to and from Leinster House, overnights and, for Deputies only, other travel expenses. As a TD, based on the distance you provided, you were categorised under Travel Band Dublin with an annual allowance of €12,000
Public Representation Allowance (PRA)
This allowance is the second element of the Parliamentary Standard Allowance and is payable to all Members. Members may opt for either the certified unvouched amount of €15,000 p.a. or the fully vouched amount of €25,70O p.a. Members opting for the vouched amount must retain receipts for the full amount claimed. As a TD you declared your option for the Unvouched option of €15,000.
Attendance:
Members are required to record their attendance at Leinster House. Members can register their attendance on each day when Leinster House is open. Attendance recording is by means of an electronic System for Recording Attendance or signing a Daily Attendance Record located in the One Stop Shop, Leinster House 2000.
I wish to confirm that your attendance up to and including 22nd August, 2011 is 101. Your required attendance is 101 for 2011.
Secretarial Allowance Options
Under this allowance Members can opt for an additional staff allocation administered by the HR Unit for Members, or a vouched or part vouched allowance option for temporary vouched employees or for contracts of service. The Options available to Members of Dail Eireann are:

- Vouched Allowance Option
- Part Vouched Allowance Option
I can confirm that you option for Part Vouched Allowance under the Secretarial Allowance Option.

Payment of Salary and Allowances
Your Salary and Parliamentary Standard Allowance are paid to you monthly in arrears on the last Friday of each month. The Parliamentary Standard Allowance Remittance Advice Slip is issued to you on the last Friday of each month to the email address which you provided for remittance to be forward to.
With effect from the April 2011, payroll the office no longer issues hard copies of payslips or P60s. This information is now available on our salary system and can be accessed securely by Members. To access your core pay account, you enter the Oireachtas Intranet Start Page by typing the address http://oir12/. On the right hand side of the page where it says Coregay payroll system, you click into this and it will look for a user name and password.
