We have received a request from a Media Source under the Freedom of Information Acts 1997 and 2003 seeking access to records as follows:
• "A breakdown for every Senator and TD of their 'clock-in' records from 151 March 2010 - 29th April 2010" • "Details of all pay, salary, allowances and pension paid to all Members TD's and Senators in the period 1st January 2009 - 31 st December 2009". • "Details of all pay, salary, allowances and pension paid to all Members TD's and Senators in the period 1st January 2010 - 31 st March 2010".
Please find below your attendance records in relation to the period which has been requested.
Please also find attached details of your salary and salaried allowances for the periods 2009 as requested and from 1 January 2010 - 31 March 2010.
The requestor will be made aware of the fact that records of individual Members can be reconciled up to 31 51 December 2010. With regard to the record attached is the record of attendances from the System for Recording Attendance (SRA) verified to date. The record may not give an accurate account of your true attendance during this period. You may as yet need to reconcile your record due to one of the legitimate reasons for absence under the terms of the Statutory Instrument, for example Foreign Travel.
You should also be aware that your registration of "in" is recorded on the report, the "in" which appear on the record reflects the days that you electronically fobbed in to the system yourself or presented on the day to sign in. Where the report shows "attendance reconciliation" this indicates where the One Stop Shop updated your record due to one of the reasons for reconciliation. As you can see from the report the "in" days are calculated and the "attendance reconciliation" days are counted separately. The combined figure of these two entries amount to your overall attendance recorded for the period in question.
Members should be aware that the requester will be made aware of the reductions/cessations in salary and allowances during the requested period. You should also be aware that several of the specified allowances ceased with effect from 22 July 2009, consequently some Members will have no specified payments in 2010.
