Please be aware that the figures in the Parliamentary Standard Allowance Booklet are annual figures, i.e. for a 12 month period.
I wish to confirm that a pro rata amount will apply for period 1st March, 2010 to 31st December 2010.
The rates for a 12 month period in respect of the Public Representation Allowance is: €15,000 for Deputies (unvouched) and €25,700 for (vouched); Ministers and Ministers of State; €12,000 for unvouched and €20,000 for vouched; Senators is €9,250 for unvouched and €15,000 for vouched.
The pro rata rates applicable for 2010 are as follows for the period lst March, 2010 to 31st December, 2010.

Likewise the Travel and Accommodation allowances quoted in the booklet are annual figures and a pro rata ten month payment will be paid in 2010.
The number of attendance is also based on a 10 months requirement of 100 days for 2010,.
