MCGRATH CALLS ON ALL INDEPENDENTS TO REJECT THE WELFARE CUTS

Deputy Finian Mcgrath has called on all Independent Deputies and Senators to unite and reject the cuts to the Blind, Elderly and Disabled.  He confirmed that he is voting against the Social Welfare Bill and rejects any cuts to the minimum wage.

"I have already told the Minister in the Dáil where he can get the finance for these priority issues" said McGrath.  "He should bring in proper windfall tax and hit those that made a lot of money on property, school sites, etc and have gained from the Celtic Tiger" said the Independent T.D.

"The Blind and Disabled should not have to pay for the excessive sins of the rich and powerful" said the Northside T.D.
