Deputy Finian McGrath has expressed his concern about a spate of recent attacks on young people in the Marino and Dublin 3 areas of the City. A number of older youths are beating up smaller boys for no reason at all.

McGrath hits back at critics on Dáil votes |

Deputy Finian McGrath has strongly challenged his critics following his recent Dáil votes. Those throwing stones should not forget they are the ones who removed the bin waivers from our senior citizens and most disadvantaged. They are also the ones that refused to support the bank guarantee scheme that protected people’s money and savings.

Deputy Finian Mc Grath has said that he supported N.A.M.A as the least best option to deal with the banking crisis. Of course it turned my stomach to vote on this issue but there was no other credible alternative. Bankers, Developers and Corrupt Politicians should be charged and prosecuted for ruining our country. However, we have to deal with their mess and hence my support. Fine Gael got their figures wrong again and the Labour Party are playing politics with their “Father Ted economics”. Of course I am furious but I have to try and save our economy and country.

As you are aware, Dublin City Council (DCC) has recently approved a planning application (4528/09) proposing changes to an existing application at this site . The new proposal is for a Hospital Development.

I seek leave to move for an adjournment of the Dail under Standing Order 32 to discuss an issue of national importance and concern namely to resolve the crisis at Dublin Airport with regards to the potential of 300 jobs for former S.R. Technics staff; and call on the Government, Ryan Air and other interested parties to act in a sensible and common sense manner to ensure that these jobs happen for the Northside of Dublin. |
