CITY MANAGER’S REPLY :
- The Parks & Landscape Services Division proposes to carry out minor repairs to railings at Donnycarney Park, Maypark, including the painting of railings bases which will be included in the general painting schedule of works in the North Central West District during the coming months.
- There is a kissing gate entrance to the park in place in the park boundary immediately adjacent to the childrens playground. The request for barriers has been examined and it is considered barriers in the cases of the entrances at Killester Avenue, and Clanree Road would negatively impact on available outside the park. It is proposed to supply additional kissing gates at these park entrances during the summer months.
- Public Lighting Division will investigate the existing lighting and consider any necessary improvements for inclusion in a future lighting improvements programme subject to finances made available.
- The graffiti on the boundary wall facing into the park at its southern end was removed on 4th June 2008.
- The broken litterbin at the northern pedestrian entrance to park from Clanree Road was replaced on 4th June 2008.
