Deputy Finian McGrath and a cross party delegation of T.Ds met the director of European Affairs at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Cuba, in Leinster House today 15th June at 3 p.m. The purpose of the meeting was to build and develop the relationship between Ireland and Cuba.

There was wide ranging discussions where the topics covered were:

• U.S. blockade of Cuba and the hardship on the Cuban people
• The Miami 5 case
• Recent reforms and changes in Cuba
• Ireland’s role in assisting Cuba.
