Deputy Finian McGrath T.D. (Ind) opened the 19th Art Exhibition on Saturday 27th November, 2010 at 3 p.m. After dashing from the I.C.T.U. demonstration at the G.P.O. McGrath praised and thanked the Coolock Library Art Group particularly Ms Agnes Pearse (Chairperson), Gwen O’Bryne (Secretary) and James Harpur for their magnificent work and contribution to the Arts on the Northside.

In his speech, Deputy McGrath T.D. commended the Northside Artists for their creativity and great work. He also spoke of the importance of the Arts in the country, Art therapy for disadvantaged Children, the importance of 95,649 jobs in the Arts industry, and the urgent need for our society to protect and defend the Arts.
