Deputy Finian McGrath has visited the building site for the new Cystic Fibrosis Unit at St. Vincent’s Hospital today Friday 15th October 2010 at 1.00 p.m.

Speaking at the site Deputy McGrath welcomed the fact that the contracts were signed and the building company were ready to roll. He condemned the delays over the past 3 years but now we have a chance to get on with it. "Further delays for C.F. patients would be criminal and he urged speed on this major national health issue".

Finian also met Professor Charlie Gallagher and he thanked and commended the Professor and his C.F. team at the hospital for doing a great job without the proper number of beds or facilities.

McGrath also urged the H.S.E. and the Hospital management to ensure that 34 ensuite rooms are retained for C.F. Patients. "No more messing or delays please" added the Northside Independent T.D.
