We wish to thank you very much for all your help and support with the campaign against the Ward Union. We are very happy with the successful outcome.

I wish to share time with Deputy Maureen O'Sullivan.  First, I thank the Ceann Comhairle for the opportunity to speak on this urgent debate on cystic fibrosis and I welcome the Minister's presence in the Chamber at this late hour.

Deputy Finian McGrath (Ind) has welcomed the opening of the new €16 million wing at Clontarf Orthopaedic Hospital. Speaking at the official opening today Wednesday 30th June at 2.30 p.m.

Deputy Finian McGrath (Ind) T.D. has forced the Government into having a special debate in the Dáil next week on Cystic Fibrosis and especially the delays on the new unit at St Vincent’s Hospital.

I seek the adjournment of the Dail under Standing Order 32 to raise an issue of national and importance, namely, the urgent need to support St. Michael’s senior national school in Raheny, Dublin 5, and its new building project which has been assigned a priority band rating of 1.2; and call on the Government to make this matter a priority issue.
