Phase 1 of the Bunratty redevelopment project is progressing well. A number of the refurbishment units at the Bunratty Road end of the site are nearing completion. Subject to gas and electricity connections it is anticipated that these units, together with the curved block of apartment opposite the Northside Civic Centre will be handed over in late September/early October 2009

Deputy Finian McGrath (Ind) has strongly attacked “Blurs” frontman, Damon Albarn for his weekend comments on drugs at the Oxegen Music Festival. “They were a disgrace and Damon should cop on and stop misleading our youth”, said the North Central T.D.
