19th January 2011 Mr. Finian McGrath, T.D., Dáil Éireann, DUBLIN 2.
Re: Parliamentary Question 2393/11 "To ask the Minister for Health and Children the position regarding a methadone clinic (details supplied)" Details Supplied: What is the update on the Strand House, Philipsburgh Avenue, Dublin 3; if it is going to be a methadone clinic for the HSE?; local residents say that the HSE originally said it would be only a temporary clinic; what are the facts:
Dear Deputy McGrath,
I refer to the above Parliamentary Question and the following is the response.
Strand House, 3 Philipsburgh Avenue is a mental health facility. The Health Service Executive Local Health Office Dublin North Central is in the process of expanding the Community Mental Health Multidisciplinary Team as per Vision for Change. To accommodate this team the building is being refurbished. The refurbishment is to allow mental health outpatients attend clinics and other mental health services on site.
I trust the above clarifies the position for you.
Yours sincerely,
Rosaleen Harlin Lead Manager on Parliamentary Affairs Dublin North East |
