As you will be aware Dublin Bus is proposing to change the terminus of the 27B Bus from Harristown to Castletimon, Kilmore West. This would mean that the 27B would no longer pass by your area on the Oscar Traynor Road and there would be no direct bus service to various locations including the city centre.
The present Dublin Bus proposals do not include a replacement service. (The 17A service is an 'orbital service' between Blanchardstown and Kilbarrack and does not service the city Centre.

The Dublin Bus proposals are wholly unacceptable and seem to have been put together with little or no local knowledge. As well as an unacceptable level of
inconvenience for residents including workers, school children, elderly and shoppers, the Dublin Bus proposals do not take into consideration the fact that the residential
area is surrounded by green areas and wasteland which certainly at night time and during the winter is totally unsuitable to have to walk to and from alternative bus
routes.

I have instigated meetings between Dublin Bus and local public representatives regarding changes to the Bus Service in the area and I can assure you that I have made
Dublin Bus very aware of the situation from your point of view and that the withdrawal of a 'pass by' service is not an option and will not be allowed to happen.
As far as I am concerned Dublin Bus will have to come up with new proposals altogether or scrap their plans as they are celiainly not in the interests of residents I
bus users in this area of Santry.

I am hopeful that the dialogue I am having with Dublin Bus will resolve this particular matter. I can assure you that I am keeping a close eye on this situation on
your behalf and as your Independent representative it is my intention to instigate 'direct action' if necessary to maintain the Bus Service.
