Re: Reps for Traffic Calming Measures on St. Brigid's Grove, Dublin 5.

Dear Deputy,

I refer to your e-mail of28th June.2011.on behalf of residents of St.Brigids Estate, Dublin 5,regarding the above. I wish to inform you that this request has been added to the existing Traffic Advisory Group agenda for examination and report by the Area Traffic Engineer in due course. Reports are submitted in the first instance to the Traffic Advisory Group for consideration at their monthly meeting and are then referred to the following month's Area Committee meeting for noting by the Area Councillors.
I will write to you again with the relevant recommendation of the Traffic Advisory Group following completion of these steps. Please note that this process normally takes at the minimum a number of months or longer depending on the overall volume of requests already on hand for examination, the nature of the requests and the availability of technical staff resources to assess these requests. Certain requests, for example, will require a traffic and speed count or pedestrian count or extended examination etc.
