Minister Finian McGrath has warmly welcomed the proposed new Capital Investment Plan for Coolock Garda Station. “This is a major boost for Coolock and the surrounding areas” said McGrath. It will also improve the accommodation and conditions for the Local Gardai” said the Minister.
The plan is as follows:
The Commissioners of Public Works in Ireland, on behalf of An Garda Síochána, in accordance with Part IX of SI No 600, Local Government and Development Regulations 2001, and SI No 685, Local Government and Development Regulations 2006, give notice that they propose to carry out works at Coolock Garda Station, Oscar Traynor road, Coolock, Dublin 5(Eircode: D05 VX25).
The Development will consist of:
- The installation of 2 no. detached single storey flat roofed temporary staff Accommodation units to be located within the curtilage of site of Coolock Garda Station, Oscar Traynor Road, Coolock, Dublin 5 (Eircode:D05 VX25).
Drawings and particulars of the proposed development will be available for inspection at the Offices of the State Authority, The Commissioners of Public Works in Ireland, Property Maintenance Services Section, Head Office, Jonathan Swift Street, Trim, Co Meath, Eircode: C15 NX36 or at The Office of Public Works, North Dublin Region Architectural Offices, The Red House, Arbour Hill Gate, Collins Barracks, Dublin 7 between 9.15am -5.30pm Monday – Thursday inclusive and 9.15am – 5.15pm Friday during the period of 6 weeks beginning on the date of publication of the notice.
Submissions or observations with respect to the proposed development, dealing with the proper planning and sustainable development of the area may be made in writing during a 6 week period beginning on the date of publication of this notice , to The Secretary, Commissioners of the Office of Public Works, Jonathon Swift Street, Trim, Co Meath, Eircode: C15 NX36.
Minister McGrath also thanked Minister Boxer Moran for his great support for the Coolock Garda Station. It is also a great support for the new extra Gardai allocated to Coolock which will greatly improve policing in our area.
