McGrath Welcomes Extra New Spending of €265 Million on Refurbishing and Replacing Residencies for Older People and People with Disability

Minister Finian McGrath T.D. has warmly welcomed the extra new spending in the H. S. E. Capital Plan for Disability Services and in his own constituency for Beaumont Hospital.  The €265 Million over three years for Disability is to replace refurbish residencies.  He also warmly welcomed the capital projects for Beaumont Hospital that are being progressed under the Capital Plan.

These are as follows:

  1. Beaumont Cystic Fibrosis Unit (20 beds).  Total design and cost – €10,245,905.
  2. Beaumont New Emergency Department.
  3. Beaumont upgrade of the Richmond I. C. U.
  4. Beaumont Radiation Oncology project.

This is a great day for patients, families, staff and for the people of my constituency in Dublin Bay North”, said McGrath.

“I look forward to getting these projects up and running soon”, said Finian.  “It also shows the extra clout Independents can have in Government in delivering their big issues”, said the Minister.
